Callisburg ISD, through our elementary school, is one of 8 districts desgnated as a Texas Education Agency Innovator District. Please see TEA’s letter and video. We are proud of all our staff’s hardwork to earn this designation.
TEA Letter:
In recognition of its commitment to ensuring all students have access to high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) that supports rigorous teaching and learning, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has designated Callisburg ISD as an “Innovator District.” It is one of eight districts across the state so recognized.
As part of its participation in the program, Callisburg ISD hosts HQIM Learning Lab for Texas districts, hosting opportunities for them to observe classroom instruction and visit with teachers and administrators to discuss lessons learned during their HQIM adoption and implementation journey.
A growing body of research highlights the positive impact of HQIM on student learning. Equitable access to HQIM is crucial in addressing educational disparities. Another study by TNTP, The Opportunity Myth, found that students who started the year behind were able to close the achievement gap with their peers by more than seven months when given greater access to grade-appropriate assignments.
